Digital camera

Quite simply it’s a camera that takes video or still photographs for personal use and is very easy to use. Most cameras today are indeed digital and are very up to date with today’s technology. It has a focused lens on the front and is capable of excellent quality photos.  The camera nowadays has widely expanded and is on things like mobile phones and PDA’s.

Mouse

In computing, a mouse is a pointing device that is easily used. It is an object held under the clients hand and consists of two or more buttons. The mouse has a motion that controls the pointer on display. It has a scroller on the top which is used to scroll up and down the page. Mouse’s are most commonly have a wire to input into the computer, but a lot of the newer editions are wireless.

Keyboard

The keyboard is a type writer styled device that is very simple to use. It is arrangement of keys which when pressed, displays the selected key on the screen/moniter. each key has printed on it a specific letter or number.

Microphone

Most modern computers are capadable with some type of microphone, may it be a headset or just a typical microphone. It can be used for recording or talking to someone over things like skype.

Joystick

Simply a stick that pivots and can move in a 360degree angle. Used years ago compared to the generation. Often used to control video games and have various buttons on it.

Graphics tablet

This enables the user to hand-draw images and graphics. Very similar to the way people draw on a peice of paper with a pencil, except its digital. Used to capture data and can capture signatures. It basically is a flat surface which can be used to draw or trace an image.

Scanner

A device that scans images, printed text, handwriting or an object, it then converts it to a digital image. New 3D scanning is used for things like industrial designing, gaming and other things. Scanners are found in alot of places like in the househould or at a business.

Mobile phone

Device that can make and recieve phonecalls over a radio link whilst moving around. this is possible because of mobile phone operators. They give you the availability of making phone calls and text messages
